If you’re vegetarian or vegan I guarantee you’ve heard most of these things from a meat-eater at some point. I’m so sick of all the stupid questions people ask so I decided to responded to them once and for all. If you are vegan, I hope you can relate. If you’re a meat-eater, please stop asking these questions!!
“Where do you get your protein?”
The same place your “protein” gets its protein from!!! PLANTS! Beans, lentils, and seeds never scream.
“You don’t know what you’re missing!!”
I do actually, I ate meat for 18 years…
“Okay, but what if you were stranded on a desert island with nothing but animals?”
What if you were living in an area where you had an abundance of plant based foods readily available to you and you had the opportunity to live a life that is healthy and cruelty free? Your situation is a hypothetical, mine is a reality.
“You’ve probably just never had a good steak!”
Believe it or not, within my 18 meat eating years I did have some good steak.
“We have canines like lions so we have to eat meat”
Okay, you go kill some prey with your bare hands and eat it raw, just like the lions.
“How could you ever give up bacon?”
How could you ever contribute to the slaughter of innocent animals because you think they taste good? But I mean you’re right, heart disease is delicious!
“Plants feel pain too..”
Plants do not have a nervous system. When is the last time you heard broccoli scream?
“Did you even do research before you went vegan?”
Have you ever thought about doing research about the animal-based food you eat? I did, and that’s why I’m vegan.
“But if we don’t eat the cows they might eat us!”
COWS ARE HERBIVORES they are not going to eat you chill out.
“We need dairy to keep out bones healthy.”
Read a study done on this that WASN’T funded by the dairy industry…
This post was purely for fun, I hope you enjoyed it! If you have any more stupid questions that you get I’d love to hear them! Also let me know how you answer these questions when you get asked them!
